But that was before the crazy hacker caused all their feeds to malfunction, sending them to the hospital to lie around with nothing inside their heads for days. And it was before Titus met Violet, a beautiful, brainy teenage girl who has decided to fight the feed and its omnipresent ability to categorize human thoughts and desires


I found feed to be a predictable book, that probably was much more interesting back in 2001. I find in 2014 this books world building could be better, you never are really given answers to most questions. You go into the book thinking it will be a life altering book about technology but its not is basically a love story that sucked. This was not a book I would recommend I found it was very out there in a bad way. Do not let this review stop you from reading it if you want to read it go ahead, but I found it to be a waste of time the only reason I read it was because it was the only book at the moment that I had to read. The only character I liked was violets dad. I give this book 2 out of 5

Perfect Chemistry- Simone Elkeles

So sorry for such a long break, blogger wasn't letting me get into my blog.

Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more.
 

First off I love how the author broke the mold about gangs and what not, but to be honest I feel like this book wasn't very unique don't get me wrong I loved it but, the plot and story line was hardly special.
Alex, he seems so rough and hard core which I really liked but then you read about him with his brothers, and I felt like that kindness was out of place, being he was in a gang. But his personality really works with the rest of the story, once you get more into him and Brittany.
Brittany she never spoke her mind through most of the story which pissed me off to an extreme. Seriously though if you are upset with your parents tell them or talk to them don't freak out.
Both main people had so much character development through the story, which was nice to see they were learning from their mistakes and trying to fix things. Alex though was the best character in the book, he just changed so much for the better and really made his own decsions in the end which made me love him even more.
This book was so good and I really enjoyed it so i'm giving it a 4.5, but for originality i'm only giving it a 3.5.

The Fault In OUr Stars Movie Discussion

Before I start discussing the movie I will write some of my favorite quotes from the movie

So yes the tears the tears the tears. I wasn't the girl in the theater sobbing and annoying everyone. I was silenty sitting there as tears streamed down my face clogging my vision. The tears started when she here lungs filled up with fluid, and didn't end until well after the movie. The actors, and actresses played their parts with such raw emotion.
Augustus (Mr.Elgort) was seriously so godamn hot, and played his parts so incredibly well. This was Ansel's first lead role and it was possibly the best movie I have ever watched. During the movie Ansel played it so well, he was just amazing. The best parts with Ansel were probably egging the house, anything Amsterdam, honestly every part of this movie was the best so I don't even know where to go. The emotion in the scene where he phones Hazel asking her to come help him,m and he has the infection and just wanted cigarettes. That was a terrible part, the tears and tears and tears and tears where plentiful.  I really hope to see more Ansel in the future..
Hazal Grace.  Shailene really played it with the emotion needed, someone who's accepted the fact she'll die soon, someone who doesn't want the world. She wasn't my favorite person in the movie, because I felt like Ansel brought most of the movie to the level it was. Hazel was still an amazing character, that had such strength, and beauty in her situation.
Isaac, super hilarious when he was breaking the trophy's and Augustus and Hazel were trying to have like a serious conversation, the egging of the house how when he throws the first time he misses and Gus has to redirect him, or at the funeral when he talks about the robot eyes and how he wouldn't want to see a world without Gus. Isaac brought humor to the movie, he brought sad humor considering his friends were dying and her lost both eyes. But Isaac was such a vital character in this book and movie.
So yeah I cried a bucketful or tears, not because it was sad, because it was a beautiful kind of sad. I loved the movie, after it ended and I saw the other people in the theater, all our make up was slipping down our face and we all had raccoon eyes. It was amazing and I loved it. Please read and watch this book and movie.

I've been writing this blog for a few months now, and I'm just wondering is anyone out there actually reading it, or enjoying it?

Of Poseidon- Anna Banks

Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen—literally, ouch!—both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma's gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom...

  I felt like the beginning of the story wasn't needed, I felt like if her and chloe had just played around then went back home it would have been just as good. Galen could have still followed her home, and it could have been the same outcome. So the very beginning wasn't a jumping point for me, but it didn't change my outlook on the book.
The world is where there is mermaids, living in the ocean (obviously) and they can go on land. I really found the Syrena history, and world in general really interesting. You don't really spend much time in the Syrena world, most of the book is spent in the human world.
Galen, one thing that really bothered me is he was terrible at talking, I was reading the book and I was frustrated with his poor social skills, I get he is a mermaid, but why does that mean he should have terrible social skills. Galen well he was really sweet, and is added to my favorite boy characters list. He stood up for Emma but he also let her fight her own battles, and he was protective, and I love it when guys in these stories are protective of there girls.
Emma- She really let Galen in fast, I don't think I would have let him in that fast, but.. from the very first page I was waiting for them to get together. Thankfully it happens fast. I had trouble believing Emma's mom was that ok with her staying the night, and nights with Galen, it didn't seem realistic. But I still loved this book, the mermaid aspect was spot on, the romance was spot on it still had problems and wasn't to perfect. I will for sure be reading the rest of this series. 4 stars out of 5

The Distance Between Us-Kasie West

It's book like this that break my heart, cause all I want is an Xander and he doesn't exist and it's killing me. I think I've found out why guys in my town don't like reading it's probably because it creates such high standards they just can't live up too.
Seventeen-year-old Caymen Meyers studies the rich like her own personal science experiment, and after years of observation she’s pretty sure they’re only good for one thing—spending money on useless stuff, like the porcelain dolls in her mother’s shop.

So when Xander Spence walks into the store to pick up a doll for his grandmother, it only takes one glance for Caymen to figure out he’s oozing rich. Despite his charming ways and that he’s one of the first people who actually gets her, she’s smart enough to know his interest won’t last. Because if there’s one thing she’s learned from her mother’s warnings, it’s that the rich have a short attention span. But Xander keeps coming around, despite her best efforts to scare him off. And much to her dismay, she's beginning to enjoy his company.

She knows her mom can’t find out—she wouldn’t approve. She’d much rather Caymen hang out with the local rocker who hasn’t been raised by money. But just when Xander’s attention and loyalty are about to convince Caymen that being rich isn’t a character flaw, she finds out that money is a much bigger part of their relationship than she’d ever realized. And that Xander’s not the only one she should’ve been worried about.

This book is cheesy yes i'll admit it, it isn't very unique or original but what's so wrong with that. Sometimes all I want is a cheesy romance to make the world seem like a brighter bigger place. So if you hate cheesy books don't read this, but if your a die hard romance fan please do.
Caymen- she has been forced to think a certain way, RICH ARE BAD, she is easy to relate to she's confused in this big world that's blooming with oppurtinies but she can't take any of them cause theres one thing holding her back. MONEY. Her mom hates the rich, she got knocked up by one and he ran away and she never looked backed she just decided rich are bad. which pissed me off a lot. Rich aren't bad you'd rather have your daughter hanging out with trash than a sweet boy who dresses well. Caymen was stupid at times, and she has sarcasm and dry humor that puts every joke I've heard to shame.
Xander- is a rich boy, who doesn't want to follow in his dads footsteps, he knows being rich ain't easy. He dresses nice and has a big heart well only for some people. Xander he was real, cause he had problems too, he shut down and woke up and got pissed and kissed. 
Overall I really enjoyed this book, it is cheesy, but I couldn't put it down, it was just too good. I give it a 4 out of 5

This book it was creepy, I won't lie it was. There was some messed up shit. The characters that's what made the book, Violet was just odd, she wears her dead grandmas clothes, she doesn't have any friends, she really is not living the life of a teenager. Her parents are never around, and not like in those books where there parents work late her parents work across sea's, and they have no money.
River he was probably my favorite person in this book mostly because he had different aspects that made the book, he made the book as creepy as it was, he added that sense of mystery and horror.
I'm not going to lie, but some parts were disgusting. But the plot was good, the mystery was good it was so unique and different. I would recommend you read this, it wasn't my favorite book but it was so unique that I loved it. 5 out of 5 stars.

I was not excepting to enjoy this as much as I did, this was also the first book I completed for Peruse Project's read a thon. This book takes place in the Victorian age which I personally have not read to  much about. So back in the Victorian age girls were groomed for the lives as rich men's wives, but Gemma Doyle is a girl who say it a different way. Libba Bray really is a talented author, the book came alive inside my head, I also found it really interesting how she used a place that is not usually a setting for novels, India is rarely a setting in the books I read.
Gemma she let peer pressure get to her a lot and she didn't listen to the warnings. She was a really interesting character, but she wasn't my favorite one. She didn't have any courage until the end, she spent precious time dreaming about a boy who should be the enemy. But that being said I still liked her, that's what irritates me about this book, the character are so lovable but they have flaws.  It makes them more realistic. This book fits into a lot of genres so it will appeal to a lot of people for example its young adult, supernatural, paranormal, fantasy, romance and historical fiction. Lately I've really been enjoying historical fiction, actually since I read The diviners by Libba Bray, I've been obsessed with the genre and Libba Bray's work. I give this book a 4.5 out of 5.

I was scared to read this, I didn't want the series to end, I didn't want to know who she chose, but I have to say i'm so happy finished it.

Most of this book I was pissed at America, she had two guys and she didn't really listen or try to understand how harmful that was. Sure America rose to the occasion and did some pretty spectacular stuff, but she acted like she could have ether guy she made them both feel important.

Aspen well he was trying so hard to make a life for himself, and America never listened., The person I was the most proud of was Maxon, how could I not be! he is in the process of making a big change. I  was heartbroken at the end before the epilogue I was like  NO WAY NO WAY, REALLY REALLY KIERA THIS IS HOW YOUR GONNA END IT. But then I kept reading and BAM life was good.There was a lot of heartbreaks in this book, for America, and Maxon and well everyone. This book was an amazing conclusion to the series and I don't think it could have been ended any better. You find out a lot about America's family, I have to say I hate KOTA he was heartless and cruel. He didn't care about anything ever, he was terrible. The whole series I was like America he is your brother he can't be that bad, but nope he is terrible and I would have been ok with it if he had died.  This was probably the best book I read all month, it is one of the only books I gave a 5 out of 5 this month. Please read it.

I love Andrew and Camryn's life motto or philosophy, and I hope one day i'll make every second count like they did. Young adult novels seldom change our views on the earth were living on, but this one made me realize how it's true, were told to be like everyone else and have a mortage, a family and a steady job but that's bullshit. There's so much out in the world and I hope that one day i'll see it for myself. But wow they had to deal with a lot of shit in this book, the tragedy was terrible and I was dying on the inside reading it, because I've been cheering for them for 2 whole books. The book itself was interesting it jumps in time it goes from day after day to months later to years later. Which I think was the only way to give us a good concrete ending. I don't know how to write this review because theres only so many ways to express how I felt about it, so i'll say something READ IT, it changed my view on the world so who knows maybe it'll change yours! a 4.5 out of 5

This was probably the first historical fiction novel I have ever read outside of school books. I really enjoyed, the plot made sense and the book is real horror. I was terrified at some points. This book takes place in the 20's but the book doesn't overdo the 20's if that makes sense. The supernatural elements in this story were on point, I heard that the murderer is hard to predict, but I honestly saw it coming. Evie she was out of control she didn't understand the word no and she didn't understand safety. But I loved her, she had that sweet girl gone bad essence to her. Jericho well I didn't see THAT coming, but he was kinda awkward which you find out why later on. But I really liked the ghost parts and I wish the museum actually exstited because I would so visit it, like all the time. I really enjoyed this, and I look forward to reading more of Libba Bray's work in the future. 4 out of 5 stars.

Into The Still Blue- Veronica Rossi

ROAR made me so sad in this book, he was so hurt and was trying to grief but Perry was busy, and Perry was the only person who understood what he lost. And I loved Roar since the moment he appeared in Under The Never Sky, and I felt my heart bleed for him when he lost Liv, I wasn't even concerned about Perry I was like ' WTF is Roar supposed to do" anyways I loved in this book you got to see him heal and become more him, than he was after Liv died, you also saw him and Perrry fix up their relationship.  Perry was so sweet in this book he and Aria they are so perfect for each other, but my heart broke for Aria near the end ( If you have read this you will understand) but then it healed and I was shouting THANK YOU LORD. I wanted to kill Sable, I wanted them to kill him and make him suffer, my heart broke for so many people in this book it was crazy examples Loran, Aria, Williow, Molly, Talon, Roar, Sorren.  The feels were intense. Aria had a lot to deal with in this book, she grew as a person and her relationship with Perry grew, but her friendship with Roar faced a lot of obstacles but they grew even closer. The world that Veronica has created is amazing, so unique and well thought out. The series couldn't have ended any better, at first I was worried because there was 30 pages left and I felt like there was still a lot left to happen, but it unfolded amazingly and I loved every second of this book. I was scared to finish it because I didn't want to leave this world. I am giving this book a 5 out of 5

Roar And Liv- Veronica Rossi

We all knew this was coming, I love Roar, even more after reading this Novella!!!!!!!!!!!

Before Perry and Aria, there was Roar and Liv.

After a childhood spent wandering the borderlands, Roar finally feels like he has a home with the Tides. His best friend Perry is like a brother to him, and Perry's sister, Liv, is the love of his life. But Perry and Liv's unpredictable older brother, Vale, is the Blood Lord of the Tides, and he has never looked kindly on Roar and Liv's union. Normally, Roar couldn't care less about Vale's opinion. But with food running low and conditions worsening every day, Vale's leadership is more vital—and more brutal—than ever. Desperate to protect his tribe, Vale makes a decision that will shatter the life Roar knew and change the fate of the Tides forever.

So I wish this book showed more Roar and Liv before Vales decision I wanted to understand them even more, I also wish it had shown parts of when Perry met Aria. But I had to remind myself this isn't a book, this is a novella meant to show me more detail into the trouble times for Roar. My heart broke over and over (I have a strong attachment towards Roar). But I LOVED this novella, I would recommend reading this is you loved the Under The Never Sky series it gives you a deeper look into the tribe and you get to know Liv. Who only makes a brief appearance in the series. I give this novella a 4.5 out of 5.

Looking For Alaska-JOhn Green

After. Nothing is ever the same

I went into this book not having a clue what it was about, all I knew is a lot of people refer to this as John Greens best work of art. One piece of the story that I think made me love it more was the fact that it involved boarding school, which I am most likely attending next year, I hope that my school is different and the same as this. That's an odd statement but it's true. I finished this book in 48 hours, I found that I was in love with miles roommate, but I loved Alaska she had SO MANY BOOKS, and they weren't popular heard of books. They were books she bought for like twenty five cents and she just liked to read so she read whatever. HOW AWESOME IS THAT. This school also had an interesting religions course, I actually found myself enjoying the parts of the book where they were in class.  It's difficult to review this and not spoil it, so i'll say please read it it deals with, death and grief and aspects we don't always see. I go to seek a great perhaps, how will I ever make it out of this labyrinth. I give it 4.5 out of 5, it didn't make me cry but I have a cold heart so nothing really does

I found this book to be really entertaining but at the same time intense and serious. Personally I thought that this book was more directed to Roar and Liv and least for a part of it, if you read my review on Under The Never Sky you'll know I really love Roar, so I enjoyed getting to see the parts of him that were shown to you although it broke my heart near the end. Perry and Aria are such a weird couple, they think there doing the right thing but what Aria did almost destroyed Perry. I almost killed Perry when the people from Sable came.( If you have read this book you'll understand) Aria really grew up in this book and I thought she made mistakes but any mistake she made became ok at the end!!!!!!! These books fit into my favorite genres fantasy, post apocalyptic, dystopian, romance, young adult and paranormal. I also loved getting to know Cinder and getting to see the full effect of his power. I recommend this book to anyone who loves the genres I said before, I give it a 4.5 out of 5.

One thing I need to applaud Veronica on is how the romance made sense, it evolved properly like a real romance would, it wasn't love at first sight I feel like the romance was proper, and very realistic for a non realistic book like this. Another thing I loved was the world, the world hasn't been done before especially with the aether, I have never heard about anything similar to it which made it really fun to read. I wish more of the questions I had were answered but I'm guessing they will be answered in the next two books. The fighting/ hunting scenes were detailed but not gory or gross, the general idea of the tribes is interesting and the dispersed. I liked the main characters, but I loved Roar once he came into the book I was hooked. I wasn't really into it until Roar entered the story after that I loved it. The beginning personally for me wasn't what I excepted I was looking for action and romance, but the ending had everything I wanted. I really liked Perry too, I love the protective side of him, I love protective side of guys in general. Perry's protectiveness over Talon was so cute and made sense to me, it was so cute and let you see the softer side of him, which I think was important. I give it a 4 out of 5. I have already started the second book.
